Policies and FAQs

All payments are securely processed through Shopify, Paypal or Apple Pay and must be received in full before your items are shipped, unless prior arrangements have been made.

I use the US Postal Service for all shipping domestic and international. Shipping charges include postage, packaging, and handling of the items. If you require extra insurance, special packaging, or expedited shipping, please contact me before purchase. All items are gift-wrapped.

All items will be shipped. I do not operate a brick-and-mortar store nor do I have a studio open to the public so pickups are not possible. No exceptions. If you require something immediately, check my Events or Stockist listings.

All orders will be reviewed within 1-3 business days. Ready to ship items will be processed, packaged, and shipped within 5 business days and made to order items will be crafted, processed, packaged, and shipped within 2-4 weeks unless otherwise specified. All items are clearly marked as either ready to ship or made to order. Please read specific item descriptions for further details.

International shipping may take an extra 2-4 weeks to process due to customs regulations. You, the buyer, are responsible for any duties, tariffs, or taxes your country may impose.

If you require something by a certain date and are concerned about my shipping times, please shoot me a message! I'm happy to work with you if you require a little extra attention on your items.

Jewelry Care

Due to the handcrafted nature of the jewelry, every piece should be handled with care. Stone settings and solder joints are particularly delicate and have the potential to loosen or even break over time due to rough handling. These pieces are made to be considered heirloom jewelry. If a piece gets wet, please dry immediately as this can loosen stones in their settings over time. Do NOT use lotions, soaps, or oils of any kind while wearing pieces such as rings and take care while applying perfume or spray sunscreen while wearing any jewelry.

Tarnishing does naturally occur on silver, brass, and copper. To keep your pieces shiny, wear often or use a jewelry-specific polishing cloth. DO NOT use any sort of mass-marketed jewelry/metal/silver cleaning solutions on handmade jewelry.  If you need recommendations, PLEASE ask! Flame & Glory will take no responsibility for damage done to any item after it has been received due to lack of care.

All ring sizes are listed in US sizing. Please get professionally fitted for your ring sizes prior to ordering. Do not rely on printable sizing guides found on the internet. Each finger likely has a different ring size, and your dominant hand is usually 1/2 size larger. If you require a specific size that is not listed, please send me a message BEFORE ordering the item. Once the item is ordered, I cannot guarantee I will be able to accommodate any changes. One-of-a-kind rings that are already made cannot be resized. None of my rings are adjustable (unless very rarely otherwise specified) and WILL break with repeated bending. Professional jewelers in your area may be able to resize your ring, but be aware that the cost of resizing could often exceed 100% of the original cost of the jewelry. Contact me with any concerns.

Necklace Sizing GuideChain lengths will be specified in the listing. I most commonly use 16" and 18" chain. If you require a different length, please contact me prior to purchasing, although desired lengths cannot be guaranteed. Most one-of-a-kind pieces will be unable to be altered due to the soldering techniques used to attach findings including clasps, bails, or jump rings.  Please contact me for custom requests.

The most common cuff sizes are 5.5" and 6" with varying gaps. Certain cuffs are able to be adjusted but please ONLY do this the first time you wear it to ensure a comfortable fit. Some cuffs may be unable to be adjusted due to their thickness. Repeated bending will eventually cause the metal to weaken and snap due to metal fatigue. This is prevented during forming by annealing the metal. However, once it is formed, metal fatigue can occur quickly due to localized damage from bending repeatedly.

Cuffs should be put on by the narrowest part of your wrist and "rolled" on
starting at the soft underside towards the top. If you are unsure of your sizing or how to ensure a comfortable fit, please ask!

Due to the fluctuating metals market, prices are subject to change.

Every one of my pieces is made from either .925 sterling silver, .999 fine silver, brass, copper, or a combination of any of the above. Each one of these metals has a market value based on weight, which forms the basis for my pricing.

All stones are ethically sourced, to the best of my knowledge. I can provide all information about the provenance of the stones (upon request) as it is available to me, as some are obtained from estates with little to no information. I work solely with natural, semi-precious hand-cabbed stones that are sourced from all over the world. Each stone has its own inherent value based on properties that include rarity, clarity, color, or other desirable traits.

Every aspect of each of the Flame & Glory pieces is made entirely by hand from metal sheet and wire. The only elements not made by my hand are some chains and some clasps, which are bulk ordered. Every element is my own design and creation and involves many steps from sourcing materials to actually smithing the finished piece. Any given piece can take anywhere from a couple hours to a couple weeks to produce. All techniques have been learned through professional fine arts classes, books, videos, research, and trial-and-error, and require many hours of practice to master.

I have a dedicated studio in my home that consists of multiple work areas and many tools. I take this craft seriously and will do my best to honor it as much as possible.

Please respect my pricing. If you have any questions or concerns, please ask. I occasionally offer discounts so please sign up for my mailing list and follow me on Instagram.

Custom Orders

Custom orders are accepted on a conditional basis and I have the right to refuse any requests. I am currently unable to use any stones or materials you wish to provide. For all custom orders, payment must be received prior to beginning the project unless prior arrangements have been made. Please use this form for inquiries. Custom orders are not returnable.

Additional Policies and FAQs

Due to the handcrafted nature of my jewelry, please allow specified time in the listing to be processed for shipment. This will vary dependent on the piece and sometimes processing and shipping times will change. Info will ALWAYS be on the home page if there is a delay or if processing times are permanently changing.

Items purchased after 4pm EST will not be reviewed until the next business day.

ALL items will be shipped. I do not operate a brick-and-mortar store nor do I have a studio open to the public so pickups are not possible. No exceptions.

Custom orders must absolutely be discussed with me first, including Custom Lettered Brass Cuffs. Please use the contact form in the header of this website or email contact@shopflameandglory.com

Receipts and tracking information will be sent electronically to reduce paper waste. If you require a paper receipt with your order, please indicate this in the comments section of your purchase.

Please allow adequate time for me to review your order, create made-to-order pieces,  package the items, and ship the order. This is a one-woman show and sometimes life does get in the way of life. If any significant delays are expected, I will let you know.
